Gossip is a habit which can seriously hurt people and your business. Chances are that people who gossip are out to hurt people they see as a threat to themselves. Next time someone tries to share a gossip with you, ask them if they would be willing to share it with the person they are talking about. Most probably they will refrain from gossiping with you in the future.

Promote positive feedback: when people want to talk about others, it should be constructive, positive, emphatic and needs to carry a learning message.
